WORLD PHYSIOTHERAPY DAY – 8th SEPTEMBER 2022

On the Occasion of World Physiotherapy Day-2022 and under the theme Osteoarthritis, the 2nd week of September [05th to 10th ] was marked as Physiotherapy Week, and various events were conducted to create awareness on Osteoarthritis and the importance of Physiotherapy.

The World Physiotherapy Day was celebrated in Christian College of Physiotherapy on the 10th of September, 2022, marking the unity and solidarity of the Global Physiotherapy Community. The Programme was presided over by the Dr. Suderson Suriya Mouli, Principal, Christian College of Physiotherapy.

The program started with the invocation song & Prayer by Ms. Natasha & Team [1st Year BPT students).  A dance was performed by Ms. Sandra Santhosh (1st Year BPT student) to welcome the guests.  The Welcome address was given by the Principal, which was followed by the inauguration of the program by Lighting the Lamp. Physiotherapy Day Speech was delivered by Ms. Aparna Sabu [4th Year BPT Student].

The Chief guest for the event was Mr. Thomas Pannicker. Registrar, Christian Group of Institutions.  He gave an inspiring speech based on his experience with Physiotherapy and also about the history and growth of Physiotherapy Profession.

The Registrar was then felicitated by the Principal.

Collage and Debate Competition was conducted for the Students. The Students actively participate in the debate and shared their views on the topic given.

Prize distribution of various events conducted were handed over by the dignitaries on the Dias.

A Workshop on Posture Awareness for Students was conducted by Dr. Grishma Gaikwad. The Workshop was conducted with an objective to create an awareness about posture at their study station and improve their posture which would prevention Osteoarthritis in the future.
