BSC NUTRITION

The B.Sc Clinical nutrition dietetics program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills, mainly in three key areas of nutrition, Hospital Nutrition, Community (Public Health) Nutrition and Food Service. Dietetics is the science and art of human nutritional care. The study of dietetics can be related to nutrition care and intervention, focused on the individual or a group. Dietetics is related to food management where as nutrition is related to the promotion of an individual’s health through promoting healthy food lifestyle. In other words, a dietitian is the link between the patient and a medical team or physician, in assisting difficult decisions making about an individual’s nutrition care

  • Jobs in various specialized areas would be: Clinical Dietitians, Community Dietitians, Management Dietitians, Consultant Dietitians, Corporate Nutritional Consultant. Healthy Eating Instructor, Sports Nutritionist etc
  • Nutritional counselling jobs have increased especially in government sectors, hospitals, schools, prisons, community health events, fitness companies other MNC companies and home health care agencies, which promises ample number of job opportunities abroad and in India as a growing and aging population will increase the demand for meals and health aids

Pass in Higher Secondary / PUC / +2 or equivalent with English having minimum 45% marks
