The B.Sc Clinical nutrition dietetics program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills, mainly in three key areas of nutrition, Hospital Nutrition, Community (Public Health) Nutrition and Food Service. Dietetics is the science and art of human nutritional care. The study of dietetics can be related to nutrition care and intervention, focused on the individual or a group. Dietetics is related to food management where as nutrition is related to the promotion of an individual’s health through promoting healthy food lifestyle. In other words, a dietitian is the link between the patient and a medical team or physician, in assisting difficult decisions making about an individual’s nutrition care
The student must be passed a two year Pre-University examination/ 12th/ Plus Two education with English as one of the subjects and also Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects, who has a minimum aggregate marks of 45%.
