Career decisions play a pivotal role in shaping the future growth and development of students. In today’s environment of multiple options, knowing about choices available helps students in their decision-making process. Dr. Rajdeep Manvani, Professor  & Director of Academic Research, Eloquent Speaker of International fame, distinguished toastmaster International, TED X Speaker, Sindhi college enlightened the students on various career choices. He covered broad areas of choice available for the student’s right from being an Entrepreneur or looking for a Government jobs or private jobs. He also spoke about professional courses like and many more.

He explained the main reason why people fail to achieve success in their life, by giving examples. The emotion that stops people from being successful is FEAR. Most people never see their true potential because of the fear of failure. People fall in three different categories:

  1. To look always good
  2. To feel always good
  3. To be good always.

We should be in the feel always good and be good always category. We should never be worried about what others say about us. As long as we do well, we need not require the certificate of others.

He highlighted the importance of identifying career milestones and charting the career path as per the individual needs. He also informed the students about the opportunities available for future growth.

Entrepreneurship is known to be a driving force behind economic growth in recent years. Some of the world’s most popular products and everyday items were created by entrepreneurs. They started off as simple ideas that needed a well-organized plan and funding to see it off towards success. There are wealthy business owners that started off with an idea and little or no money.

In his interaction, he spoke about the Skills required by a successful Entrepreneur. He further encouraged the students to follow their passion according to their skills.

The session even enabled the students to gain insight about the admission process that is followed for students looking for higher education courses outside India. He also clarified doubts and questions raised by the students.

To a question of a student as to how to know whether we are doing right or wrong things?

He replied its right if you get yes to the following 3 questions:

  1. Will you do it in a place of worship?
  2. Will you do it before your parents?
  3. Will you do it before your spouse and children?

If the answer to the above is NO- you should never do it.
